Pollution means "The presence in or introduction into the environment of a substance or thing that has harmful or poisonous effects." This means that the piece of tissue or smoke in causing danger to the environemnt, like effecting the natural habitats of wildlife or increasing carbon monoxide. Reasearch shows that Chicago's Pollution Level is currently 38AQI, which is not that bad but it is an issue.
